Position: Construction helper
Full-time, permanent
Wage Rate and hours: $20.25 per hour, 35-40 hours per week
Job Location: various locations across lower mainland, depends upon job project. Travel expenses paid by the employer.
Job requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: No education is required.
- Experience: No experience is required. On job training will be provided
Job duties:
- Load and unload construction materials
- Move construction materials to work areas
- Assist trade persons such as insulators, carpenters and other team members in construction activities
- Assist in demolishing buildings
- Clean and pile salvaged material
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminates
- Follow the instructions of an on-duty supervisor
- Perform other activities at construction sites
- Attend on site safety meetings
- Remove rubble, other debris and garbage at construction sites
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Physically demanding, repetitive tasks
- Security and safety guidelines must always be kept in mind and be strictly followed at all the times. Hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe-cap shoes are must while performing the job duties.
